Scorched3D: Version 43.2

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 43.2. This is a minor new feature/bug fix release.

This release implements some of the more popular game mechanics on the new game engine. Players can leave and enter spectator mode at anytime, shot limits can be set for games, and player positions are visible when buying. This release also allows players to join and leave games with out having to quit the game.

Scorched3D: Version43.1c

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 43.1c. This is a minor new feature/bug fix release.

The release fixes a few server side bugs and adds a whole raft of new options to the client, including adding tank and particle reflections to the water. The in game chat has also been improved now having a movable cursor and better editing support.

Scorched3D: Version 43

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 43. This is a major new release.

The main emphasis for this release is to streamline and improve the playing experience. The upshot is that the game can play like a RTS in some of the game modes. In general the game play has been improved with less waiting around.

Scorched3D: Version42.1

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 42.1. This is a minor version to fix a few small issues with version 42.

Fixes include:
o Changed skill formula to have less fluctuations (more stable skill)
o Fixed unicode names in server web console
o Added more LUA scripting functions
o Changes for 64bit compiler compatability
o Changes for gcc version 3.4 compatability
o Fixed X11 dependancies for OSX binaries
o Fixed server sending too many messages to the client

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 42.
New features include:
o Optimized graphics rendering to take better advantage of hardware
o Scripting language support for weapons and server scripts
o Much larger landscapes supported
o Added multi-lingual support for chatting and player names
o Added localization support for dialogs and messages
o Some gameplay adjustments
o Better LAN/Internet communications for less timeouts

Scorched3D: Version 41.3 released

Scorched3D is a 3D remake of the popular 2D artillery game Scorched Earth. Scorched3D can be played against the computer, other players and remotely across the internet or LAN.

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the release of Scorched3D version 41.3. Version 41.3 is a very minor release and fixes some small issues in v41.2.

Version 41.3 fixes issues such as:-
- Slow clients causing others to timeout
- Rebalancing of some weapons

- More performance issues for some graphics cards
- Disconects caused by excessive packet loss (TCP back in use)
- Various other small usability fixes
