Move Animation should not affect drag and drop moves.
Platform Linux.
Enable move animation: options -> moves -> animation time -> any non-zero ms.
Good: Clicking source square and then clicking destination square results in a pleasing animation.
Bad: When dragging a piece to a destination scid will unmake the move just to animate it.

Thanks, this is fixed for newly entered moves, but not previously-entered moves.
Here's an example where the bug persists:
1 New game
2 Drag and drop e2-e4
3 Go back a move
4 Drag and drop e2-e4 again
5 Whoops, now it hiccups with an animation.
I don't have permission to change bug status.
I hope you can see this.
