I'm trying to use Oracle thin driver and keep getting errors because schemaSpy tries to create SID instead of the service_name. The property 'connectionSpec' in the properties file seems to be ignored. Has anyone seen this issue? java -jar "C:\schemaSpy.jar" -dp "C:\ojdbc6.jar" -t orathin -u userAbc -p secretpwd-o "C:\outputFolderAbc" connectionSpec=jdbc:oracle:thin:@//myhost1:1521/serviceAbc -host myhost1 -port 1521 I also tried replacing -t orathin with -t orathin_serviceAbc, as suggested in some blogs... but nothing helps. Failed to connect to database URL [jdbc:oracle:thin:@myhost1 :1521:serviceAbc] java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.logon(T4CConnection.java:419) at oracle.jdbc.driver.PhysicalConnection.<init>(PhysicalConnection.java:536) at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.<init>(T4CConnection.java:228) at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CDriverExtension.getConnection(T4CDriverExtension.java:32) at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.connect(OracleDriver.java:521) at net.sourceforge.schemaspy.SchemaAnalyzer.getConnection(SchemaAnalyzer.java:582) at net.sourceforge.schemaspy.SchemaAnalyzer.analyze(SchemaAnalyzer.java:157) Any help is appreciated. This seems like a popular DB modeling tool, but I'm surprised that it does not work for a simple use case (oracle thin driver with service_name).. ~ thanks, Karthik Karuppannan. |
