So I've been hacking out SB-ITERATE from the code (and it's done! with a reduction of 150K in sbcl.core) lately. Except this evening, I ran into the follow problem while recompiling with my FMAKUNBOUND patch posted earlier. Since I was fooling around with PCL stuff, I kept running make-target-2.sh until I got everything to work -- then I ran a full make.sh. This worked earlier today. Tonight I get the following: ; /home/nathan/lisp/sbcl/src/assembly/target/alloc.fasl written ; compilation finished in 0:00:00 debugger invoked on condition of type SIMPLE-ERROR: #S(SIMPLE-ERROR :ACTUAL-INITARGS (FORMAT-CONTROL A package named ~S already exists. FORMAT-ARGUMENTS #) :ASSIGNED-SLOTS NIL) Within the debugger, you can type HELP for help. At any command prompt (within the debugger or not) you can type (SB-EXT:QUIT) to terminate the SBCL executable. The condition which caused the debugger to be entered is bound to *DEBUG-CONDITION*. You can suppress this message by clearing *DEBUG-BEGINNER-HELP-P*. restarts: 0: [ABORT ] #S(RESTART :NAME ABORT :FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "CLOSURE" {ADCFEAD}> :REPORT-FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "<unknown>" {90A5FA5}> :INTERACTIVE-FUNCTION NIL :TEST-FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "<unknown>" {908BF1D}>) 1: [TOPLEVEL] #S(RESTART :NAME TOPLEVEL :FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "CLOSURE" {ADCFE5D}> :REPORT-FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "<unknown>" {90A5E1D}> :INTERACTIVE-FUNCTION NIL :TEST-FUNCTION #<FUNCTION "<unknown>" {908BF1D}>) ("locall COMMON-LISP:RENAME-PACKAGE" #S(PACKAGE :%NAME "SB!KERNEL" :%NICKNAMES NIL :%USE-LIST # :TABLES # :%USED-BY-LIST # ...) I'm attempting to rebuild with the FMAKUNBOUND patch now, but I'm going to bed, so I won't get to see the results until tomorrow morning. This is with 0.pre7.85 (I haven't updated to the newest CVS version yet because I've heard of some trouble with it). -- Nathan | http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~froydnj/ | veritas aeterna Yes, God had a deadline.
