[Sbcl-devel] Speeding up SIGNAL

Hi,

I would like to apply either the first three or all four of the attached
patches.

      * The first two are mostly cosmetic.
      * The third patch avoids unnecessary special bindings of
        *HANDLER-CLUSTERS* in SIGNAL.
      * The fourth patch changes %HANDLER-BIND/SIGNAL to use
        dynamic-extent functions for condition type tests, thereby
        avoiding type specifier parsing at runtime and enabling TYPEP
        optimizations.

I think the first three patches should be rather uncontroversial. The
fourth patch accounts for most of the speedup but increases code size.

What do you think?
