[Sbcl-devel] Way to compute object's size before allocation

In a test suite, I have to allocate arrays at ARRAY-DIMENSION-LIMIT to
test for possible off-by-ones in my code.

Now, I only want to perform the test if enough information is available
for the allocation.

What is the best way to achieve that?

Should I just allocate ahead and trust in the heap exhaustion guard? How
good is the check for exhaustion?
