Some of SBCL's own code depends on that optimization to avoid  
surprising consing in certain operations. Attached are patches against  
1.0.16.33 that restore non-consingness in SB-IMPL::REFILL-INPUT-BUFFER  
and in SB-THREAD's call-with-foo locking functions.
