Hi. I'd like to re-submit this patch and ask for some advice, if it is unacceptable. It basically fixes this: (with-standard-io-syntax (format nil "~s" (make-array 2 :element-type 'single-float :initial-contents '(1.0 2.0)))) to output this: #.(make-array 2 :element-type 'single-float :initial-contents '(1.0 2.0)) instead of generating an error condition or printing #(1.0 2.0) (ie. re-loaded without type specialization. One cannot provide a print-object method specialised on this kind of type-specialized array. So, I would really like to get this functionality into SBCL, if it is at all possible, to save having to work-around it untidily. Thanks. Bill |
