Hi, I maintain the SBCL for the darwinports infrastructure (similar to the *BSD ports system, but mainly targeted at Mac OS X). SBCL-0.8.11 builds fine under OS X, but I have a question about the specification of "gcc3" in Config.ppc-darwin: is it meant to specify gcc == 3.1 or gcc >= 3.1? Newer releases of OS X have gcc 3.3 as their default and provide no "gcc3" in the standard distribution, although it is available in the developer's tools. If gcc 3.3 is OK to use, I'll need to update the portfile. If 3.1 is required, I'll just have it print out the message to download the full developer tools from Apple before trying to compile. Thanks, Greg Gregory Wright Antiope Associates LLC gw...@an... |
