anyone else getting the following error message after ROX-session starts?:
"Window manager warning: Failed to open a connection to a session
manager, so window positions will not be saved: SESSION_MANAGER
environment variable not defined."
is this an installation problem, or is ROX not compliant with current
X-session protocol? i'm on RedHat9.

A session Manager saves the position of running programs, so when you
log in again, it loads them up.
Rox-Session doesn't do this, therefore doesn't set the variable which
tells the wm what to do with the session info.
I get around it by having a script in my ROX-session dir with:
chmod a+x then use it as the window manager in the rox-session prefs.
This stops error messages from metacity coming up on the screen
Alastair --- who is just going to wiki this, as he has told people of
the fix many times ;-)
