=2D----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I wonder if the best way for Rosegarden to acquire multiple parts in a sing= le=20 staff would be for the composer to overlay 2nd and 3rd staves over the=20 original staff, similar to layers in CAD and possibly have the notes from=20 each staff differentiated by colour. I know that it's possible to overlay=20 staves but they're confusing to edit in black. Even better, maybe single=20 stave could have extra parts enabled on it and those new parts could be=20 colour coded.=20 On Tuesday 10 Aug 2004 15:53, you wrote: > Ray Klassen wrote: > > If I have a set of quavers as say the soprano part and I want to add so= me > > crotchets as an alto part which below every other soprano quaver, > > the editor adds some extraneous quaver rests between the quavers > > which aren't played but are not removeable > > Also the quavers are added in offset far to the right of the quavers. > > Yuck I've found I can make it work if I drag in a note from another bar > > (the sinister quaver rests do not appear), collapse the resultant 2 > > quaver ties and shift-drag the notes to the correct positions.
