Bugs item #1026605, was opened at 2004-09-12 08:32 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104932&aid=1026605&group_id=4932 Category: notation Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 6 Submitted By: D. Michael McIntyre (dmmcintyr) Assigned to: Chris Cannam (cannam) Summary: very pregnant pause when opening notation view Initial Comment: It's a ludicrously simple composition with three empty segments, each only five bars long. Opening a notation view takes on the order of seconds, during which time the main window gets that "I'm about to crash" look where it doesn't bother to repaint itself in a timely fashion. I get a little CPU utilization spike too. It's chewing through a whole lot of something, and I can't imagine what. The length of the pause seems variable. It may be that the most egregious examples are when I happen to try to do this at the same moment autosave is kicking in. The extremely long pause that prompted this bug report hasn't been repeated after several repeat performances, but there has always been what seems a disproportionately long pause; even when only opening a single segment. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104932&aid=1026605&group_id=4932 |
