Hi, Violent agreement, you and I! Something is certainly broken. I have two identical Asus A7V133 machines sitting here. They are both built with the PlanetCCRMA flow. One is running fluxbox. It fails /usr/lib/qt3/bin/uic. The other runs KDE. It passes the uic test. According to Synaptic I have Qt 3.0.3-11 installed on both systems. Fernando's system says it is the current version for my distro. According to rpmfind.net, that's the version that comes with RH 7.3. I did not use a force on the install of either machine. 99% of the RPMs installed are done by synaptic itself, so I don't even control the options. One machine passes, the other fails. The machine that passes has some qt2 stuff installed, and a little bit more qt3 stuff. Both say they have gcc 2.96-112 installed. On the machine that passes I can build RG, but I have no audio hardware so I can't run it. The machine that has the audio hardware fails, so I obviously cannot run it. I do not think it is the RPM specifically. I am not smart enough yet to understand what it really is, unless it's just some corrupted or overwritten file from that RPM. Unfortunately, removing the Qt RPM is painful since it forces the removal of 25 of other RPMs that depend on it. I think I need my RPM book to remember how to refresh the installation with the same RPM. Maybe Synaptic has a way to let me do this. I'll study and hope to find a solution short of major surgery... I will get there. I will... Mark -----Original Message----- From: ros...@li... [mailto:ros...@li...]On Behalf Of Guillaume Laurent Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 9:48 AM To: ros...@li... It doesn't make a difference : if the Qt you have came from an rpm, that rpm is broken (unless you installed it with --force, which I don't think you did). -- Guillaume http://www.telegraph-road.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Visual Studio.NET comprehensive development tool, built to increase your productivity.
