Version: 10.06 After setting up several MIDI tracks, I started recording those MIDI instruments to audio (these are hardware synths correctly attached to my system). The first 3 audio tracks recorded fine. After that, after setting up the record connection via qjackctl and selecting the correct record input, it seems like RG is re-recording previously recorded audio tracks into the new audio track, or recording silence. While recording, I can see a signal bouncing around in the record meter. But it's either the wrong audio or silence. I'm going to see what happens after 10.04 finishes compiling and let you know if this version is also behaving this way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Audiodef (audiodef) Date: 2010-06-29 18:50 Message: The signal in the record meter, by the way, is very sketchy, visually. I've just downgraded to 10.04, with similar issues. A related issue I've had with this and 10.06 is the fact that audio frequently records for one measure, after which it simply drops out, showing a thick, straight bar in the waveform preview. Let me know what I can do to help troubleshoot. I'll have to try recording audio to Ardour for now, but I would really like to do it all within RG and keep my projects self-contained. As it is, recording audio appears very iffy. I do want to help as much as I can, though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Chris Cannam (cannam) Date: 2010-06-29 18:01 Message: So the signal being shown in the recording meter during recording is apparently incorrect? Not just the result after recording? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104932&aid=3023062&group_id=4932 |
