I believe it was stated earlier that the coder choose Y because that is just what he ended up using. I hope my recount of that conversation is correct. Please correct me if in error. Question: Is the key 'r' tied to other commands? I have used a notation program that uses the 'r' to toggle between rests and notes, while in insert mode. I tried 'r' while in insert mode with Thor and could not tell what was done. If 'r' was an option for the insert note toggle / rest toggle, it might be easier for someone to guess the command over 'y'. (This is from another thread) -- Your conclusion is correct. Stating the obvious; Quarter Note= sound, Quarter Rest=silence. Stating the abnormal; Quarter Note Rest is a duration of sound and also silence? Brian Clem |
