Loading files (maybe not so big of > files) works fine, btw. Yes, the RG sysex editor has this limitation. It is intended for short and single messages only. It is not a full fledged sysex librarian. When I need to record a sysex dump and save it to a file, I use the amidi(1) utility provided by ALSA-utils. It can restore later the sysex dump into the synth, too. http://linux.die.net/man/1/amidi I've wrapped amidi with a shell script some time ago to use it with my SC-88. You can use the script as an example for other synth models. http://perso.wanadoo.es/plcl/misc/sc88sysex-0.1.tar.gz http://lwn.net/Articles/125413/ HTH Regards, Pedro |
