What if I use a MidiPitchLabel (? whatever it was) for the button text instead of ...? Throw in a tooltip to give a hint what the button is for, and update the button text in the same fashion as the QLabel was updated previously, when users dial on the spinbox. This way there's reasonably meaningful visual feedback on the main dialog, but a better picker is available. Would that just be too counterintuitive, do you think? I could do it basically for free, but if you think it's a stupid idea, I'll leave well enough alone. -- Michael McIntyre USDA zone 6b in SW VA, USA Silvan <dmm...@us...> Linux Druid ----------[ registered Linux user #243621 ]--------- http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/index.html |
