[Rosegarden-user] "scons configure" won't find jack, dssi and liblo

Hello List :)

I want to compile Rosegarden 1.2.4 with jack and dssi support
on my ubuntu linux pc.

This is the output I get when running "scons configure":
Checking for pkg-config ... ok
Checking for alsa >= 1.0 ... ok
Checking for jack >= 0.77 ... failed
Checking for dssi >= 0.4 ... failed
Checking for C header file ladspa.h... yes
Checking for lrdf_init() in C library lrdf... yes
Checking for liblo >= 0.7 ... failed
Checking for xft >= 2.1.0 ... ok

These are the packages that scons won't find,
but are installed on my pc:
$ pkg-config --modversion jack
0.100.0
$pkg-config --modversion dssi
0.9.1
$ pkg-config --modversion liblo
0.22

These packages are also installed:
- libjack0.100.0-dev
- dssi-dev
- liblo0-dev

Why doesn't scons find them? Am I missing something here?
