Hi Eric, Thank you for your response. I have tried as you suggested, with a variance in response. I have shut down sound in KDE (kcontrol: Sound & multimedia | Sound system | enable the sound system - cleared) as opposed to killing artsd before. There is still no sound in RoseGarden. When I open RoseGarden configuration I see, as before: MIDI OK, audio OK The detailed status report is now different and show up RoseGarden as an ALSA client, but still no audio. The output of rosegardensequencer is different from that of the "detailed status", though they ought be the same. Both logs below. Can you spot anything there? Thank you! Some information about my system: Fedora Core 2 Kernel 2.6.5 (unmodified) Intel on board sound card: I82801BAICH2 driver snd_intel8x0 All programs and depandant libraries are in their latest versions built from source this week Ishai Asa 3D Graphics, Game Development Tel: +972-54-5691717 Email: is...@is... If you are running kde in a default setting it will not give up access to the sound server unless you shut it down in kcontrol. > >Eric Reesor > > |
