That also appears to fix Rosegarden, which now lists squillions of plugins. > Does the sequencer run up OK? Yes, I now get this: rosegardensequencer: created plugin manager Rosegarden AlsaDriver - alsa-lib version 0.9.0beta12 ALSA Client information: 64,0 - (External MIDI 0, MIDI 0-0) (DUPLEX) 65,0 - (Emu8000 WaveTable, Emu8000 Port 0) (WRITE ONLY) 65,1 - (Emu8000 WaveTable, Emu8000 Port 1) (WRITE ONLY) 65,2 - (Emu8000 WaveTable, Emu8000 Port 2) (WRITE ONLY) 65,3 - (Emu8000 WaveTable, Emu8000 Port 3) (WRITE ONLY) 66,0 - (OPL3 FM synth, OPL3 Port) (WRITE ONLY) Record client set to (64, 0) AlsaDriver::initialiseMidi - can't subscribe output client/port AlsaDriver::initialiseMidi - initialised MIDI subsystem AlsaDriver::jackBufferSize - buffer size changed to 1024 AlsaDriver::jackSampleRate - sample rate changed to 48000 AlsaDriver::initialiseAudio - JACK sample rate = 48000 AlsaDriver::initialiseAudio - initialised JACK audio subsystem AlsaDriver::initialiseAudio - cannot connect to JACK input port AlsaDriver::initialiseAudio - JACK playback latency 0.042666R AlsaDriver::initialiseAudio - JACK record latency 0.000000R rosegardensequencer: RosegardenSequencer - started OK I did get a crash still from the sequencer when trying to play outofspace.rg, but I can't reproduce it for a stacktrace. I know there was no plugin actually set, although I had called up the dialog and popped it down again at least. Difficult to tell whether the plugins actually work (I _think_ they're doing something) because my headphones have just given up the ghost -- have to buy a new pair, maybe this afternoon. The dialog could use some tweaking but it's surprisingly full of stuff. Still haven't succeeded in starting from a blank composition, inserting some audio, and actually having it play though. They go onto the composition, but they never seem to sound. I can't work out what the difference is between the ones in outofspace.rg and the ones I stick into the composition (they're certainly the same original samples). Chris |
