I read Steve's mail in dssi-devel. Pointing out that dssi tries to resolve the host name instead of using localhost was a good hint. I solved the problem by adding the line 127.0.0.2 blu.local blu to /etc/hosts before the other line containing the ip address of my ethernet card, which does not work in my lowlat kernel (perhaps no appropriate driver? don't need it for audio anyway). "multi on" was set already in /etc/host.conf. Now I should have everything I need for starting off :-) Thanks! Axel |
