Hrm. --- Perhaps txt2rgd.py can be altered to automatically write an (initially empty) text node near the top of the XML file that will eventually become the .rgd voice map. For example, an XML element like: <information> Information or instructions appears here... </information> The creator of the .rgd file could then edit the ungzipped XML file and place some explanatory text or instructions within that node. Then when a user clicks the "Import..." button in the Manage MIDI Devices window of rosegarden4 and imports a file, perhaps rosegarden can be programmed to display a window with the contents of the XML text node (IF the node is not empty), and a button to dismiss the window and proceed to the import dialog?
