The tvbox control pins in the video-in jack are I2C-bus connection pins. Therefore it is possible to connect extra I2C devices to the card and control them, as is done with, but not limited to, the tv-box. JVC's A/V Compu Link is a JVC-only proprietary feature. That means JVC is most likely not going to tell you how it works and what it's pinout is. If you're lucky, and they do tell you, AND there's an I2C bus involved with the A/V Compu Link, you might be able to use your VCR through video card. This may be superfluous, but to be safe: until you are absolutely sure AV Compu Link and I2C are compatible, DON'T hook them up! You could easily blow up your graphics card (or VCR, but they're usually less fragile). In conclusion I'd say... give JVC a call. Hth, Yuri |
