Hi! I have installed Rezound on a laptop running debian 3 unstable, with a 2.4.24 kernel. I install ReZound as deb package. I can open audio files, but when trying to play them the program hangs. This is the output I got when opening the program from console and trying a mp3-file: hume@vista2:~$ rezound using path '/usr/share/rezound' for share data directory virtual void CJACKSoundPlayer::initialize() -- error connecting to jack server -- jackd not running? Attempting to fall back to using OSS for audio output. 'vox' executable not found in $PATH -- vox format support will be disabled lame command line: '/usr/bin/lame --decode "/home/hume/ext/Mp3s/Aretha Franklin/Aretha Franklin - Ain't No Way.mp3" -' input: /home/hume/ext/Mp3s/Aretha Franklin/Aretha Franklin - Ain't No Way.mp3 (44.1 kHz, 2 channels, MPEG-1 Layer III) output: <stdout> (16 bit, Microsoft WAVE) skipping initial 1105 samples (encoder+decoder delay) Frame# 9658/9658 128 kbps Avslutad Program hangs, and four rezound processes keep hangning on to /dev/dsp, blocking it for other programs. Similar problems when I try to record. I am using audio module i810_audio from the kernel source, and its an IBM Thinkpad T23. Any suggestions or help very much appreciated. Regards, Magnus Larsson |
