In this case with RestEASY 2 you may also use :

} catch (ClientResponseFailure ex) {
            LOGGER.info(

Integer.toString(ex.getResponse().getResponseStatus().getStatusCode()));
            ErrorObject err = (ErrorObject)
ex.getResponse().getEntity(ErrorObject.class);
        }
