Liebe Frau Neumann, ich möchte mich doch coram publicum für Ihre famose Kanotix-CD 10/06 bedanken, da meine Linux-Installation nun schon ein paar Wochen problemlos läuft und ohne externes Konsil nur mit den Bordmitteln der CD(Programm, Ihrer bebilderten Anleitung und "SelfLinux")zu bewerkstelligen war. Meine Sprechzimmereinrichtung funktioniert wunschgemäß (ein Benutzer "Praxis" mit DOSEMU, ein Benutzer "Internet"), die Vernetzung über Samba auf den (noch)W98-Anmeldungsrechner mit APWDOS,dessen Datenbestands-Umzug mir noch eine kleine psychologische Hürde ist. Eine testweise Labordatenübertragung mit meinem bisherigen DOS-Programm über DOSEMU an der Anmeldung hat schon geklappt, so daß die Zielgerade des Systemumbaus in Sicht ist. Bei der Installation habe ich im ersten Anlauf das Update mit Synaptic machen wollen, dies hat aber nur einen Teil der erforderlichen Programme geladen, so daß dann WINE nicht lief. Ich habe dann einen zweiten Anlauf mit kompletter Neuinstallation gemacht, ohne Update, bei der ich alles so wie von CD voreingestellt belassen habe und damit läuft WINE, anfangs allerdings in einer aberwitzig kleinen Schrift. Nach Befragung von Google stellte sich heraus, daß im Fake_Windows-Fonts-Ordner nichts drin war, aber nach Übertragung des kompletten Fonts-Inhalts aus W98 war alles gut brauch- und lesbar. Die Ifap-Windows-Werbefenster sprechen aber eindeutig für die DOS-Liste, oder gibt es bei Windows einen Werbefensterblocker? Zur Datensicherung nehme ich halbtäglich einen USB-Stick und finde es ganz bequem, daß sich APWDOS den Sicherungs/Rücksicherungspfad merkt, so daß ein kleines Tastenmakro die Sicherung anwirft. Kann sich auch APWLIN den Pfad merken, der als Handeingabe "/mnt/sdb1/SAV20071" ja doch auf Dauer etwas mühsam ist? In der Bedienung mit DOSEMU kommt beim Karteiaufruf etwas öfter als früher der Fehlerkasten, der mit "Verlassen" wieder verschwindet, nach meiner Beobachtung dann, wenn der Patient noch in der Anmeldung eingestellt war. Ich weiß nicht, ob das in früheren Beiträgen erörterte Datei-Locking etwas damit zu tun hat, aber nach der Erfahrung mit der Verschlechterung nach Synaptic-Update s.o. wollte ich fragen, ob ein solches überhaupt erforderlich ist. Ich finde daß schon das quartalsweise Praxisprogramm-Update genug Fehlermöglichkeit birgt und würde mir Veränderungen am Betriebssystem möglichst selten wünschen.
