Thank again, Jonathan - I've got several valid run configurations - all behave the same way when run and lead to the same error messages. I had a downloaded copy of Boids in an old workspace and tried setting up a new workspace based on a previous post on the list (along with setting the -clean flag in eclipse.ini.) Once the new workspace was set up I simply imported it into the new workspace from the old one. Tonight I'm going to try and build the PredatorPrey model from scratch and see if that runs. If it does, I'll see if I can track down the problem from there. Thanks for your responses. Subject: Re: [Repast-interest] Could not find the main class Hi Crile, Are you creating your new projects by choosing the New -> Repast Simphony Project option? I ask because projects created in that manner should come with launchers. If you look under the Run Configurations... option in the pull down menu under the "Run" button, that should show you any valid launchers in your workspace. Also, where are you importing the Boids project from? Jonathan On Apr 21, 2010, at 8:32 PM, Doscher, Crile wrote: I've created the model as coded Java objects rather than using the visual interface. I haven't set up a custom launcher but once these problems cropped up I've been working on the launch configurations. When I run the model as a Java application, a search window pops up with possible main classes and it always finds repast.simphony.runtime.RepastMain as an option, but when I select that I get the error messages included below. The same happens when I run an imported model like Boids. Hope that helps somewhat... From reading old posts, it seems like my classpath has to include repast.simphony.runtime/bin to see RepastMain but I'm a bit confused as to where I need to set that. I'm anticipating that there's a simple fix to this but it escapes me Here's the console message that comes up when I try to run: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: repast/simphony/runtime/RepastMain Exception in thread "main" I've just loaded the latest version of Eclipse and have Repast 1.2.0 installed (WinXP) but feeling more than a bit rusty.
