Hi! I can't say much about the configure script, Peter is the author of the linux-build system, and he knows more about it. STLPort is an implementation of the C++ STL (standard template library). (contains a number of standard containers, stack, queue etc., and more) The STL that comes with gcc 2.95 is flawed, and since Reaper uses STL-code heavily, you need a stable implementation. STLPort is available att www.stlport.org (IIRC). Another solution is to use gcc 3.0, which has a much better STL and works out of the box with Reaper.
