hi, I'm using the AAM files from the ravl lib. Specifically the aamBuildAppearancemodel.cc file. The problem is i tried using different image files when loading the appearance model but for any I keep getting the error that: Can't load format for file ....(the xml file loads fine but the image file doesnt load...does it expect a specific format????????) I'm using the .xml and .png file given with the library. I converted the .png file to .ppm and also to .jpg to try. but its not working. (I changed the image file names in the .xml to correspond to the format i was using.)... I'm running this in MS VC++ 2008. -- Regards, Sisil Mehta <https://sites.google.com/site/sisilmehta/> PhD Program@Georgia Tech |

hey, The RavlAAM.cc file didnt get compiled initially. That is because when compiling in MS VC 2008 it turns up the following error: 1>c:\users\sisil\desktop\software\ravl\compvision\activeappearancemodels\aamposeestimatecostfunction.hh(51) : error C2059: syntax error : 'constant' 1>c:\users\sisil\desktop\software\ravl\compvision\activeappearancemodels\aamposeestimatecostfunction.hh(51) : error C2238: unexpected token(s) preceding ';' The variable _SP conflicts with a windows (xlocale.h) header variable. *To avoid the error replace _SP with another variable.* (One question tho, will replacing _SP with say _SP1 affect any of the other programs? Cause is the varialbe _SP used in any of the other sources which adds RavlAAM.h as a dependence?) --Sisil On Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 2:10 PM, sisil mehta <sis...@gm...> wrote: > Hi, > I compiled the Ravl Libraries as mentioned in the instructions for the > Win32 platform and obtained all the lib files in the C:\\Build folder. > However the RavlAAm.lib file is missing. > Do i have to separately compile the source files from > ....\Ravl\CompVision\ActiveAppearanceModels folder to get the obj files? Hi, I compiled the Ravl Libraries as mentioned in the instructions for the Win32 platform and obtained all the lib files in the C:\\Build folder. However the RavlAAm.lib file is missing. Do i have to separately compile the source files from ....\Ravl\CompVision\ActiveAppearanceModels folder to get the obj files? How is that done in Windows with VC++ since there is no RavlAAM.cc?? -- Regards, Sisil Mehta <https://sites.google.com/site/sisilmehta/> PhD Program@Georgia Tech |

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has worked with the Ravl Active Appearance model libs/classes? Because i was planning to work with them and wanted to knw if there are certain pointers or things-to-remember when using the AAM classes/methods specifically... -- Regards, Sisil Mehta <https://sites.google.com/site/sisilmehta/> PhD Program@Georgia Tech |

Hi. I wanted to ask if I can use RAVL on an ARM platform. I am trying to compile RAVL with ARM-GCC but I get errors all the time. I have a buildroot for my ARM platform so I redirect all the paths for the compiler there in the "config.local.arm" but am getting errors. I have compiled fine the LINUX version but can't do it for ARM. Can anyone help me on this ? Also I wanted to ask. I am making a project for a camera sorting application and I need To check Color, Lines, Edges. Can RAVL do this ? |
