I don't think setting EUDIR "breaks EUPHORIA" unless you wish to continue using an older version somewhere else. We should optionally set EUDIR in the installer for 4.0.1 while we create the routines so that the demos no longer need to use EUDIR. Once those routines are written, the demos and other programs will have an alternative method. EUDIR should have been set in the installer and should remain set in the installer at least until these tasks are complete. What happened to migration time?
