I suggest a folder like "ModuleSettings" or "CustomModuleFiles" where PictureLayouts, Productlayouts and so on could be placed. Just my 2 cent ;) _____ From: rai...@li... Subject: RE: [Rainbowportal-devel] dir refactoring proposal Maybe also an other idea. Moving the portal data directories (like _Rainbow) to a subdirectory instead of the root directory, so I can give ntfs rights to this new directory and let all the portal data directories inherit the security settings (should be the only directory with write access). Michel. _____ From: rai...@li... [mailto:rai...@li...] On Behalf Of John M Sent: Saturday, September 18, 2004 5:54 PM To: rai...@li... Subject: RE: [Rainbowportal-devel] dir refactoring proposal Hi Manu, Regarding directory structure I thought I'd give out a suggestion if we are going to be moving folders about. I'm posting to this list instead of directly so I can pick up general feedback. Instead of having the old folders that we inherited from IBUYSPY "DesktopModules" and "MobileModules" I think we should have a single folder "modules" which would contain modules of every type (those that support only mobile, those that support only desktop and those that support both). In Layouts I would also move the picturelayouts out of there and have it residing in the pciture module itself (As it is not a core module). This should make module installation easier (After the initial upgrade headaches) and make things cleaner. Should all the folders be lowercase as well? instead of the mix we have at the moment? What do you think?
