Barclays Global Investors' Active Equities North America group in San
Francisco is seeking a Strategy Analyst to work closely with a team of
Investment Strategists.  The responsibilities of the Active Equity
Strategy investment team spans portfolio management, research and
products positioning and representation. This individual will under the
guidance of senior team members be exposed to the broader investment
process across all active equity products, with a particular emphasis on
international strategies.=20

Responsibilities

*                     Develop and maintain an understanding of the
specific return, risk and cost forecasting methods used by the
strategies, as well as relevant investment knowledge including industry,
regulatory and market knowledge for the purpose of responding to client
and prospect queries.

*                     In close conjunction with Portfolio Managers,
coordinate and complete monthly performance commentaries for investors.

*                     Collect, interpret and present performance
attribution to the broader investment team.

*                     Conduct ad-hoc analysis of portfolio positions,
macro-economic events and other investment related topics.

*                     Assist the various marketing channels with
technical investment expertise as it relates to request-for-proposals as
well as other types of questionnaires.=20

*                     Liaise with investment teams in our international
offices as it relates to the investment strategies.

*                     Build relationships with other teams supporting
the investment management process.

*                     Support senior team members in the effective
communication and positioning of our investment strategies.

Requirements

=20

*                     BA/BS, with very strong quantitative skills.
MBA/MS and/or CFA desirable. =20

*                     Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience with passion
for investing and strong interest in quantitative strategies.

*                     Solid experience with statistical packages e.g.
SAS, and with UNIX, VB, a plus

*                     Strong organizational skills with attention to
detail.

*                     Ability to work efficiently and multi-task
effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

*                     Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective and
efficient communication with groups within the firm.
