Hi all, just a quick question... Is it possible to use tga or pcx textures etc - as in tomazquake? I know the code is there for loading this stuff, but how do I go about replacing a texture or skin with a tga? I noticed from the code that most things are hard coded to load a certain .lmp etc (the menu for example) but most of those functions pass through LoadTGA() at some point so are they supposed to bypass the .lmp if something better is available? 300,000 search engines, that's amazing. I had no idea there were so many. However, I would like to caution about the use of a icon that represents a large horse shoe magnet next to a computer screen. This image can be very disturbing to some more sensitive people like me. Back when I was using television sets as monitors, I thought it was cool to use magnets on those monitors for special graphic effects. However, I soon learned that powerful magnets and some household electronics, especially computers, do not mix well. In fact, if you want to see just what a bad idea this is, (and don't blame anyone but yourself if you try this,) take the biggest most powerful magnet you can find/afford and rub it all over your computer/monitor/disks. qwsv has two variables: gamedir, which is the relative path from which the server itself runs, and sv_gamedir, the directory it presents to clients as the game directory.
