auto enable JACK outputs for all MIDI tracks w/ plugins
An Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer
Brought to you by:

I would like qtractor to automatically enable JACK audio output to every MIDI track as soon as a VST or LV2 or DSSI softsynth plugin gets added so that I don't have to manually enable dedicated audio output every time I add a plugin to a MIDI track.
I know there is an option called 'Dedicated MIDI player outputs' under Options -> MIDI -> Playback and I hoped thats what the option would do but alas it is not so.
the option you're after is under View/Options.../Plugins, Instruments, Dedicated audio outputs.

Hi RNCBC!
I see. The problem remains though as I have 'Dedicated Audio Outputs', 'auto-connect' and 'Dedicated MIDI player outputs' all enabled now but with both Aspect VST and samplv1 LV2 I still have to manually enable their dedicated audio output else I don't get a JACK output so it seems buggy.
What does 'Dedicated MIDI player outputs' do? Its not in the manual.
re. Dedicated MIDI player outputs:
the MIDi player is activated when you select 'Play' over a file, track or channel item on the Files widget, with MIDI rendered to the current MIDI Master output bus by default or to a dedicated MIDI output port if you check this option.
re. Plugins / Instruments, Dedicated Audio outputs:
this option (should) take effect only on next time you create a new MIDI track; it (maybe) has no effect to current existing tracks or saved sessions thought.
[EDIT: oops.the dedicated audio outputs setting for instrument plugins was not really in effect as default, now fixed on svn trunk.3008+ (qtractor 0.5.5.38+). thanks]
