R2Q2 retirement and replacement

As of the 1st December 2008 the R2Q2 rendering and responding engine is officially unsupported, and will no longer be maintained. As a consequence, the ASDEL playr should be considered end-of-life. Both R2Q2 and playr will be replaced with a new QTI Engine capable of supporting both items and assessments based around the 2.0 release of JQTI. The release of the replacement engine is scheduled to occur before the 15th December.
