i think compared to what the court battles will cost the price for the
licenses and hardware would be negligible :-)

this was supposed to be more of an reminder to the fact that while some
things might be obviously illegal (i for example am pretty sure that the
dvd region codes are illegal in germany) it still will mean spending a few
years in court with the companies, at a non insubstantial cost, to prove
that it in fact is illegal
