TeX is called by PyX with import os os.popen4("%s%s %s" % (self.mode, ipcflag, self.texfilename), "t", 0) So, you should play around a bit with this command, e.g. os.popen4("ls .", "t", 0) os.popen4("latex debug.tex", "t", 0) ...
