Hi, I've committed some files on the 1.0.x branch that make pyblio on gtk-2 at least start and display some items. I'm indeed looking for help so that the port does not take too long. I suggest the following plan: - handle a small aspect of the UI at a time (a specific window for instance) - notify your intention on the ML, in order to avoid clashes - use CVS to access the code: server: :pserver:us...@cv...:/cvs/gnome repository: pybliographer ATTENTION: we are working on the v_1_0_x branch. if you have write access, please commit (with detailed comments about your fix), otherwise I'm willing to act as a CVS proxy. Send me your diffs. I suggest to update often :-) - tell when the port is ok For the moment, it's quite easy to find an area requesting work. Once the code is downloaded, run: ./scripts/pybliographic ...and try to use the application ! (please note, it is not yet possible to use an installed version of the application) Some remarks on the aim of this port: - the idea is not to improve the existing code, only to make it work on gtk2/gnome2 - don't hesitate to comment out parts that might prove harder to port if they are not mandatory. We will handle these issues in a second pass. But please add a comment at the top of the file about the regressions that you explicitely produce. |
