Unfortunately, Gnome 2.0 is not yet > completely available on Debian and I don't have time to break my > system right now :-) I got it running, let's see if I remember the details: 1. installed python 1.5.2 using a modified RPM so it doesn't interfere with python2 2. installed gnome-python-1.4.2 (not available for RedHat 8.0 since they switched to gnome2) 3. install pygnome and pygtk (modified versions). 4. installed pybliographer-1.0.11-2.rh_7x.i386.rpm (from RedHat 7.2) 5. modified (manually) so it uses /usr/bin/python1.5 instead of /usr/bin/python The modified RPMS and SRPMS are available at http://www.hardings.cl/hacking/pybliographer if anybody wants to try them. --=20 Jens. |
