[proteowizard-support] Choosing the name of the output file

Folks,

I was converting a couple of mzXML files today to mzML using
msconvert..and...well..I have a question on why I can't specify the output
file name and why it chooses the name it does.

For example, running:

   % msconvert --mzXML halo1.mzXML

results in the file

    XP20100101_halo1.mzML

Using "-o" halo1.mzML" results in the predictable:

    halo1.mzML/XP20100101_halo1.mzML

I'm curious what the reasoning for this is.  Thanks.
