Category: None Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jonathan Dowland (jond) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: [2.4.3, patch] comp_666 menu description is incorrect Initial Comment: I'm glad to see 2.4.x finally has a proper comp_666 switch :) However the menu description is misleading. It currently states "Linedef type 666 works at all E1 levels". A quick inspection of the source p_enemy.c (line 2105 onwards) shows this is not the case. What is actually happening is the monster type check is being relaxed, so it can be triggered more than once (once per last-boss monster death). This is the correct behaviour as demonstrated by playing UAC_DEAD.WAD or the original Aliens TC. A better description is therefore "Tag 666 can be triggered more than once". Patch attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Jonathan Dowland (jond) Date: 2006-07-31 00:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=96503 Hi- the description in 2.4.4 does seem to be the best you can manage with such short lines. (I will *eventually* get some code into prboom ;) ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Florian Schulze (proff_fs) Date: 2006-07-30 20:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=18721 That description wasn't correct either :) We added one which should fit better, but one line is to short to really do it accurately. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=103396&aid=1529839&group_id=3396 |
