if i'm not mistaken, Q3 provides it's own mesa, compiled with glide for hardware acceleration. so Q3 wouldn't be a fair game to compare your situation with. you want to compare with something that uses your computer's installed libraries. you might have a mesa problem. are you sure you're using an up to date mesa with the appropriate glide compiled in? as i understand it, there are 2 branches of glide development. the old (which doesn't support windowing mode) and the new (which doesn't support most games which use GL). i keep reading the same thing on daryll strauss's website. it feels like the newer glide will never get done... anyway, can you run test3dfx? pete On Mon, 20 Nov 2000, Daniel Serodio wrote: > I compiled prboom 2.1.1 from sources, with '--enable-gl'.
