Testers wanted. The attached patch tries to fix the signal deadlock on 2.6.x kernels caused by use of unsafe functions in a signal handler. I've run the patch on a test lab machine without incident. The style was derived from the pptpd work, which was derived from the patch proposed last October by Jean Wolter. The patch is relative to CVS, which held 1.6.0. CVS has been updated. There is yet work to do on the other signal uses in the program, but this is a start on the task. (Reproduced the problem of unable to start a tunnel within a minute of stopping it; which appears to be non-reuse of the call manager process. But that problem had been reported before. Anyone know a fix?). -- James Cameron http://quozl.netrek.org/ HP Open Source, Volunteer http://opensource.hp.com/ PPTP Client Project, Release Engineer http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/ |
