PortableOSX 0.0.1b5

This new beta finally completely prevents the safe sleep mode, which could be dangerous (but don't worry: this feature will not interfere with your other systems…), sets up hostname and computername and has a better home folder creation system.

You can grab it here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=186964&package_id=218386&release_id=490861

PortableOSX 0.0.1b4

After some days of work PortableOSX 0.0.1b4 is out.

There are two major new features in this beta: it prevents the creation of the sleepimage file, wich could take over a GB and it can also do a real system installation inside a folder.

A small fix is that Installer.app is now always included in the system.

PortableOSX 0.0.1b3

here is a new beta for PortableOSX!

This beta allows you to install on devices that aren't official supported by Apple for a System installation, like disk images, USB drives on PPCs or APM partitioned devices on Intels.

You can also extract the system in a folder, but the privileges will be screwed up.

There is also a small fix: it is now impossible to install on the startup volume (although a workaround exists for experienced users ;-)).
