Dear Mohamed, We upgraded the DM software in CVS. Now Scores are in range 0..100. We added a timeout component which forces a decision after a timeout = interval (defined in configuration file). We added also code to safely = clear requests list in DM (if a filter doesn't respond immediatly to the = abort message, but sends a score also after that the monitor receives = the DM decision). We modified also install script and poesiamon.xmlc.template in = SampleConfig directory to add code for installing also a configuration = file for DM, because last versions of DM can't work without an XML = configuration file (named DecisorConfig.xml in the template). Please configure it before using Poesia. We tested the communication between monitor and DM and we hadn't any = problem. Probably your problems (shown in another mail) are due to the = fact that you used the version of install script without the = configuration file for DM (in that case you should receive a NullPointer = exception). In any case, please test our component you too. Here is my feedback. Some remarks are also questions to different developpers. I think the DM behaviour (and then configuration file) should consider the mime-type of the filtered media, because the number of scores to wait for depends on it : * for image/*, the image filter will be alone to provide a score * for text/plain, the image filter will never give a score (for a plain text includes no tag), but the text filter will. * for text/html, both text and image filters will give a score. What about the PICS and url filters ? I agree with you. If all filters can add this attribute, we could = change DM configuration file and software code to solve the question. PICS and URL filters (as javascript) are only usable for html = content (they process part of the content of an html page). About the refer attribute : * Where are the italian and spanish heavy filters ? * Where is the javascript filter ? About the score attribute : * The [0-10] integer range is too limited for the image filter especially for simplelevel <--> score coherency (for instance the [12- gives 'high' for the 'porn' domain and [67-80[ gives 'medium' for the 'violence' domain We prefer keeping the initial [0-100] integer range. It shouldn't be difficult for other filters to multiply by 10 if they use a [0-10] range at present. I agree. I changed the range in 0..10 according with Mohamed = response to a my previous mail, but obviolusly I can set again the range = 0..100 without any problem.=20 We can set the new range and I'll inform you when it happens, please = use simplelevel decision before all filters change their behaviour to = send scores in the new range.
