I can confirm what appears to be a memory-leak on Debian GNU/Linux. I can't help very much except to say that I suspect the problem is in the Blt library. To confirm this, you could rewrite the test code in tcl/tk. If the problem is still there, try the compl.lang.tcl newsgroup or email the Blt author. Or you could look at the Blt C source code and maybe run it though a debugger or Purify.
