Tab should be a syntax error! Why can't people > just learn to use 4 spaces? Heh well, the consistent use of either tabs or spaces is "ok" in my book, though I prefer the 4 space indent myself. It's when code mixes tabs and spaces in seemingly random way, and thus looks all out of wack in an editor, that's when I start having real issue with it. (as in the case of Pmw's code). But, fwiw, I have changed the indentation to be consistently 4 spaces per tab in my pmw git repository. At least in the lib and bin subdirectories. I haven't yet looked at tests, though from my running of them, they seem like they need to be updated for the modern python versions, since they expect slightly different exception text. |
