p.mapper is not differentiating at all between anything it gets via PHP 
Mapscript functions to return field values. Each record is returned as 
an array of strings by Mapscript and then written to HTML by p.mapper. 
If this is not working with Mysql based layers then post this as a bug 
on the Mapserver list.
