#29 Help updating fink package

It would be a great help if the latest version were easily installable through fink. This is what I got from #fink@freenode.net
'fink dumpinfo -finfofile plplot'
'fink -m --build-as-nobody rebuild plplot' to see if it builds cleanly under fink
I don't know much about fink except that it lets me install great programs with no programming knowledge.
Can anyone help?
