Plot Digitizer 2.6.8 (stable) Released

Plot Digitizer is a Java program used to easily digitize scanned plots of functional data. Version 2.6.8 fixes a bug that could cause an exception to be thrown on startup.

Plot Digitizer 2.6.8 can be downloaded from:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/plotdigitizer/files/

What does this program do?
Often data is presented in reports and references as functional X-Y type scatter or line plots. In order to use this data, it must somehow be digitized. This program will allow you to take a scanned image of a plot (in GIF, JPEG, or PNG format) and quickly digitize values off the plot just by clicking the mouse on each data point. The numbers can then be saved to a text file and used where ever you need them. Plot Digitizer works with both linear and logarithmic axis scales. Besides digitizing points off of data plots, this program can be used to digitize other types of scanned data (such as scaled drawings or orthographic photos).

Plot Digitizer 2.5.0 (stable) released

Plot Digitizer is a Java program used to easily digitize scanned plots of functional data. Version 2.5.0 eliminates the need for an installer on Windows and Linux platforms making the program more robust. The program also no longer installs it's own copy of autotrace. If the semi-auto digitizing feature is needed, then the user must install autotrace separately.

Plot Digitizer version 2.3.0 (stable) released

Plot Digitizer is a Java program used to easily digitize scanned plots of functional data. Version 2.3.0 fixes a minor bug that prevented the auto-digitizing feature from working in non-US locales. This release also includes several new features including:
* Can now compute the length of a digitized line.
* Can now compute the area of a polygon enclosed by a digitized line.
* The Y axis can now be optionally given the same calibration as the X axis.
* The output file is now written with scientific notation to preserve significant digits for very small numbers.
* The tabular on-screen output will use scientific notation if there are any small numbers in the output.... read more

Plot Digitizer version 2.2.0 (stable) released

Plot Digitizer is a Java program used to easily digitize scanned plots of functional data. Version 2.2.0 is the 1st release of this software since moving the project to SourceForge.net.

Plot Digitizer 2.2.0 can be downloaded from:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=112725&release_id=248449

What does this program do?
Often data is presented in reports and references as functional X-Y type scatter or line plots. In order to use this data, it must somehow be digitized. In the past, this has meant manually reading off values from the plot and typing them into a program.
